The Spirit weaves together a marvellous tapestry of classical psychoanalytical concepts with current neuroscience, wrapped in a style that is hugely engaging, stimulating, and dare I say, also entertaining. Kinet’s ability to integrate highly complex concepts in an insightful, yet fluid and simplified style, makes it a must read for both experienced and beginner students and clinicians of psychoanalysis and neuroscience. It will put you in the driver's seat of current integrated thinking.

It is a very enjoyable and elucidating introduction to (especially Mark Solms' and Ariane Bazan's) neuropsychoanalysis. Neuroscientific findings and their clinical implications for psychoanalytic practice are made convincingly clear. The drive, Lacanian jouissance and repetitive phenomena come to live. The interludes provide an entertaining and illustrative read and they aereate the complex subject matter. For once the various endorsements are proven right.
