AIDS sexuality and gender in Africa:

Focusing on the gendered aspect of the struggle against AIDS, this text studies the severity of the epidemic and the threat it poses to the population in Tanzania and Zambia. It argues that the success of strategies against AIDS rests on their recognition of existing gendered power relations.
