This text helps students develop critical skills in diagnosis, case conceptualization and treatment planning by presenting a series of diagnostic cases based on characters from popular culture. Using a unique and engaging approach this allow students to practice skill development before they actually start working on real client scenarios.

The book is separated into two parts: The first containing a separate chapter on diagnosis, case conceptualization, and treatment planning, which gives students the important building blocks needed to form diagnosis in all the categories of the DSM. These chapters lay the foundation that can be used in the rest of the book to formulate diagnosis and treatment planning for the characters. Each case is presented in an easy-to-read format and is introduced by the author, along with a basic case summary, case conceptualization, diagnostic impressions, the treatment plan, and extra pedagogical features.
