This second book of metaphors for children will entertain and delight while the therapeutic message, cleverly embedded in the story, slips into the unconscious mind of the child. The tales enhance empowerment by exposing children to new possibilities, new perspectives and differing philosophies. For the clinician, the metaphors offer a treasure trove of techniques and hypnotic language that can be adapted for a variety of situations and problems. Harry, a hippopotamus who is very good at using his imagination to help himself with his problems along with Dr Dan, the Ashland Zoo's veterinarian, help the animals in the zoo by teaching them about hypnosis and the power of their imagination. Each metaphor is about a different animal with a unique problem common to children.
