Masculinity in Crisis: Myths, Fantasies and Realities

This study provides a psychological analysis of masculinity. It argues that many men today find their identity to be devalued, fractured and precarious, and that men are trained to be economically productive, to carry out society's violent tasks and to preserve a stoical, almost autistic, reserve.
