Other Times, Other Realities: Toward a theory of psychoanalytic treatment

This work looks at the fact that there is no theory that explains how psychoanalysis works. It considers Freudian theory, the interpretations of contemporary ego psychology, and the contributions of object-relations theory whilst analyzing the changing significance of the therapeutic process.
