Whilst there is a wealth of literature on working with children and adolescents, very little focuses on those who are in residential or foster care. This book redresses the balance, and is a practical guide to working with this group from a psychoanalytic therapeutic perspective. 193 pages.

Hunter et al write with clarity and compassion - their ability to capture and portray the complexity of work with this group of so often forgotten and very vulnerable children is a gift to all of us. Colleagues working in child protective services have found it very heartening and affirming of their difficult and important work.
