About the Editor(s)

Heinz Weiss, has studied medicine and philosophy and taught at the Universities of Würzburg and Tübingen. As a psychoanalyst he is affiliated with the German Psychoanalytical Association and he is a Guest Member of the British Psychoanalytical Society. He was a visiting scientist at the Tavistock Clinic, London, and has translated John Steiners Psychic Retreats into German. For more than 20 years he was Director of the Department of Psychosomatic Medicine at the Robert-Bosch-Hospital, Stuttgart. Actually he is head of the Medical Department and Member of the Directory of the Sigmund-Freud-Institut, Frankfurt a. M. Since 2012 he is Chair of the Education Section of the International Journal of Psychoanalysis.

Abbot Bronstein, PhD, is a psychologist and psychoanalyst. He is the current editor of the Analyst at Work Section of the International Journal of Psychoanalysis and an ­Associate ­Editor. He is the Co-Chair Comparative Clinical Methods Working Party in North ­America, ­Graduate, Member, Faculty and former Training and Supervising Analyst San Francisco ­Center for Psychoanalysis (Formerly SFPI). He was a former board member of the ­International Psychoanalytic Association. He has been visiting faculty at Emory Psycho­analytic Institute, Oregon Psychoanalytic Institute and San Diego Psychoanalytic Institute, and has taught and ­presented widely in North America and Europe.

Claudia Frank is a Supervising and Training Analyst of the German and the International Psychoanalytic Association, and works as a psychoanalyst in private practice. She spent 1988–2001 at the Department for Psychoanalysis, Psychotherapy, and Psychosomatics at the University of Tübingen where she also completed her postdoctoral thesis. She is a Guest Member of the British Psychoanalytical Society. From 2016 to 2018 she was chair of the German Psychoanalytical Association’s Central Training Committee.

Priscilla Roth is a training and supervising analyst at the British Psychoanalytic ­Institute, ­where she was head of the training. Following her degree in psychology, she worked as a research assistant at the University of California at Berkeley. In the early 1970s she ­moved to the UK and trained first as a child and adolescent analyst at the Tavistock Clinic, ­London, and shortly thereafter as an adult analyst with the British Psychoanalytical Society. She has ­lectured at both institutions, and the University College, London. She has taught ­internationally in Europe and America and had been elected as a Distinguished Fellow by the British Psychoanalytical Society in 2022.
