Extra Info:Food and eating potentially carry a strong emotional load. The training focuses on how to build therapeutic interaction in regard to food, eating and feeding, and how to make use of the underlying emotions and meanings in foster care and other contexts, in treatment of complex trauma.



How can emotions and meanings connected with food, feeding and eating be used in therapeutic interaction and in treatment of childhood trauma in foster care, adoptive care, children's homes and institutions, in various contexts where food and feeding present problems or disorders?



Speaker: John Whitwell, group psychotherapist and director of Integrated Services Programme (ISP), has worked in the child care since 1969, of which 27 years at Cotswold Community before joining ISP in 1999. He has pioneered therapeutic care and education for emotionally unintegrated children and teenagers.
