Sharon Chaiklin, BC-DMT, is a founding member and past president of the American Dance Therapy Association. A student of Marian Chace, one of the first dance therapists in the United States, she worked for over 34 years in psychiatric hospitals and private practice. She taught in the Graduate Dance/Movement Therapy Program at Goucher College, Baltimore, Maryland and has authored several articles. She was co-editor of the book Foundations of dance/movement therapy: The life and work of Marian Chace. Invitations to teach brought her to Israel, Argentina, Japan, Korea, and the Philippines. Currently she serves as trustee on the board of the Marian Chace Foundation. She received ADTA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012.
