| Extra Info | : | Speaker: Mark Saban Because Jung tended to pay a great deal of attention to the inner dynamics of the psyche, individuation is primarily thought of as an intrapsychic process – even within the analytic process. In this talk Mark Saban wants to challenge this assumption by focusing on the relational field as a “third” arena that transcends and includes the individuals concerned. He will provide clinical examples to indicate how this field shows up as an autonomous – highly affective - entity and will conclude by developing the notion of transindividuation – a process that not only takes us beyond the idea of the individual but that also opens up the possibility of a collective and psychosocial individuation. |
