Jane Winstone is Principal Lecturer in Criminal Justice at the University of Portsmouth, UK. She began her career as a probation officer before moving to Portsmouth, where she has pursued her interests in integrated pathways to support young offenders, mental health, effective practice and ethical practice. Her research and publications in liaison, diversion and the management of mentally disordered offenders supported the findings of the Bradley Report.
